Your skin is delicate. Maybe not quite like a rose, but it does need to be cared for, especially your face. I”ve got a simple recipe that is easy on the wallet and kind to your face.
Is facial astringent necessary?
I”ve gone most of my adult life not using it. I don’t think it is required, but I do notice a difference when I use this astringent versus not using it. If you have particularly oily skin, you may find it more helpful. If you have super dry, maybe this isn”t for you. But, I would think that you can tweak the recipe to fit your skin type needs and you will find a happy solution.
The basics of the recipe can be purchased individually and used as needed throughout the house for your other DIY projects. So don’t fret, you aren”t just buying a bunch of useless, one time products. I generally purchase my bulk stuff from Mountain Rose Herbs. I like their corporate philosophy www.atoledo.com and their products.
You will need:
- distilled witch hazel
- Aloe vera gel
- A few of your favorite essential oils
I generally use lavender and frankincense. If you have sensitive skin, this combination might work well for you. If you have super dry skin, you may consider neroli (a little pricier, but you can also use this as a delicious perfume) and frankincense. For oily skin, you can combine lavender and sandalwood or ylang ylang and sandalwood too. Again, if spielautomaten you have an oil that works best for you, test that in a small batch. You can always change the recipe.
A note about essential oils on the face:
Some oils may be excellent for oily skin, such as bergamont or lemon, but I will caution use against them if you spend time outside. They are photo-sensitizing and may amplify the sun’s effect on your skin. The whole purpose here is to create something that is gentle for online casino your face.
The recipe, already.
It is so easy! Basically you are going to use a very clean (i.e. washed, sterile container) with some kind of spray top or squirt top. Add the measured amounts and done. Start small. You can always double or triple the recipe once you find the perfect combination for you. Here it is:
• Wash and sterilize your container and top (you can boil for 15 minutes and allow to completely dry). You don’t want water particles contaminating your mixture.
• Measure out 6 ounces of witch hazel and pour that into your container.
• Add ¾ tablespoon of the aloe vera gel.
• Add 2 drops of your preferred essential oils.
• Shake vigorously.
You can squirt this mixture onto a soft face towel or cotton ball and wipe down your face. I normally do it in the evening after I wash my face (it is amazing how much makeup is left after washing!) and when I wake up in the morning.
What have you made especially for your face? Is there a particular essential oil combination that works best for you?
