  1. Hi Beth, thank you for this post! I’m new to essential oils, actually just purchased my first bottle of tea tree oil today. What does it mean to add to a carrier oil and is there a guide to which oils can be applied directly to the skin and which oils can’t?

  2. Hello,
I am a huge fan of essential oils. Tea tree oil is great stuff. In addition to the uses mentioned above, you can use it to dab on burns as an antiseptic, add it to the vaporizer to relieve chest congestion or add some to water in a spray bottle to use as a household cleaning agent. As a cleaner it kills mold and gets rid of the mustiness. It is also good straight up (without carrier oil) to use on insect bites to stop the itchies. I carry tea tree and lavender oils in my purse everywhere I go. There are so many healthy practical uses for them. Thanks for your post Beth!
